From the moment you get the news of the new life growing inside everything changes.

You have begun your journey to motherhood. 

For this time, your body is not your own. You have never seen it change shape so rapidly or experienced such odd feelings that are classified as ‘normal’. You get to know a soul you haven’t even seen yet. The anticipation is exhilarating – Who will she look like? What will I teach her? What will we call her? (I know, but I’m not spoiling the surprise!) 

Meet Jessica and Emmett. I had the pleasure of joining them to photograph this beautiful moment in time. They look right at home (well, they are actually at home, but they look comfortable there for being nearly naked with a stranger and a camera).

If you know me, you know I consider a Boudoir Photo Shoot a bucket list item. However, you might not initially select your pregnancy as that perfect time for this experience. If it is challenging to grow to love your new shape, you are not alone.

If the pictures don’t convince you, that’s ok. But at the very least, I hope you stop to take a moment to notice how beautiful you are.

Here is what Emmett had to say about his lovely wife:

“Everything about her is beautiful. Watching her body change throughout our baby’s development has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Everyday she has become more and more beautiful. I absolutely adore her. “

The baby on the way even has her own song which Dads plays for her daily. May this picture help them to remember this time forever.
